Indexing rates are arrived at in various ways, however, I tend to quote on a per-page basis. This is allows for an easier estimation of cost to complete any given project. Other factors taken into consideration when quoting for a job include:

and the time
schedule in which the index is needed, rush jobs will attract higher fees
